My story
Since I was a kid, I’ve been obsessed with what’s around the next corner. If I’d been born in an earlier time, I most certainly would have been an explorer. Now, I’m lucky to have found a way to combine my passion for travel and outdoor adventure with Off the Map Vans.
My vanlife journey started 20 years ago with a VW Vanagon named Calvin, named after the comic book Calvin and Hobbes. Inspired by Calvin running away from home on an adventure to the Yukon, I customized and outfitted my beloved Vanagon for an overlanding journey to Alaska, the Yukon, and beyond.
I learned a lot living out of a van, and today’s Off the Map Vans are built as an homage and modern version of those beloved camper vans. And right now the escape, joy, and freedom these vans bring seems more important than ever. I’m excited to help make your dreams of adventure come true.
